We are excited to share a wonderful, community-led initiative! This collaborative homeschooling journey focuses on foundational Islamic knowledge for our young children. This program is spearheaded by one of our dedicated community members, Tri Hashimi. Inspired by educational models that empower parents as primary educators, Tri has developed a structured yet flexible framework and is inviting other parents to join her in instilling a love for Islam in our kids from an early age.

An inspiring speaker at yesterday’s event, was Dr. Nour (Norhan Sharaf) —a sister from Dallas, Texas, who’s a medical doctor. She volunteered in a hospital in North Gaza this past July 2025, witnessing the extraordinary ketangguhan (resilience) of the Palestinian people and the entire volunteer medical team.
She described how, in her words, “every imaginable thing that could go wrong, did go wrong.” Yet even during those extremely challenging times, she often found herself being comforted by the very patients she was caring for, or their families. That spirit of tabah and hopefulness truly humbled her.

Our weekly women's Quran halaqah was held this past Thursday, October 23rd, at the warm and welcoming home of Sister Qoni.
As always, the spiritual nourishment was followed by wonderful physical nourishment. We all shared in a delightful lunch, enjoying the good food and, more importantly, the precious company of our sisters. We left feeling uplifted by the words of the Quran and the bonds of our community.
