Thank you to everyone who joined us today at Harper Park! It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces enjoying the outdoors and the food.

We are thrilled to report that thanks to your generosity, we raised a total of $2,765 today!

Ini jam 00.08 di Medan dan saya baru pulang dari Aceh Tamiang mengirimkan donasi dengan dosen saya (tapi bukan donasi kita yg kemarin, ini yg lain). 75 dari 100 paket berisi makanan siap santap untuk anak2, pakaian dalam pria, peralatan bayi, pampers, pembalut wanita, kami bagikan ke warga di desa Babo Kec. Tamiang Hulu Aceh Tamiang. Sedangkan 50kg beras + 2 dus sarden siap santap + 2 dus air mineral, kami titipkan untuk warga di desa seberang, desa Sekumur. Terdapat 480 kepala keluarga dari desa Sekumur yg rumahnya rata dengan tanah tertimpa balok kayu gelondongan yg sekarang mengungsi sebagian di desa Babo. Desa Sekumur itu kalau di IG yg tinggal mesjid yg berdiri, rumah warga hilang. 

Keluar dari Tamiang Hulu kami menuju Langsa melewati Kuala Simpang, ibu kota Aceh Tamiang. Kami bergidik merinding dan nangis kondisi Kuala Simpang (foto) sepanjang jalan seperti Tsunami, lumpur setinggi 20-30cm di rumah warga. Kami juga melewati jalan sport center yg viral itu. 

Bantuan sudah banyak masuk ke Kuala Simpang tapi kondisi restorasi cukup berat. Sebesar dan serusak itu, saya hanya melihat 5 eskavator. Sementara kondisi sudah darurat. Sampah menumpuk dan memasuki minggu ke-3 lumpur masih belum berkurang. Masih banyak kampung yg terisolasi dan tidak viral seperi desa Sekumur. 

Sampai di Langsa, kami menitipkan sisa donasi yg diberikan ke saudara teman untuk dibagikan. Mereka jg terdampak dan tidak ada posko bencana di Langsa.

Joint Donation Allocation Report (IMATX, Fulbrighters, US, & Australia) for Langkat School Restoration

We are pleased to share a significant update on our relief efforts for the Langkat Regency school restoration. As of December 13, 2025, our total fundraising income has reached IDR 39,929,516, thanks to generous contributions via Wise, local bank transfers, PayPal, and Zelle. Thus far, we have utilized IDR 19,637,300 to fund critical purchases and operations. These funds were allocated toward essential supplies, including medicines, cleaning tools, shovels, hoes, wheelbarrows, and jet cleaners, as well as necessary transportation and operational logistics for three distribution rounds. 

We currently hold a remaining balance of IDR 20,292,216, which is securely set aside the next term of donation will be distributed to severely affected students in the following semester since some schools are still submerged by floods. FYI, there are hundreds of schools in this region that horribly damaged and need huge revitalization. Though the fundraising has been closed, we still need your prayers to heal soon. Joint Donation Allocation Report (IMATX, Fulbrighters, US, & Australia) for Langkat School Restoration

As of December 5, 2025, we have collected a provisional total of IDR 21,441,217 in donations for the Langkat school restoration. We have allocated IDR 14,650,500 toward essential relief efforts, specifically purchasing 9 high-pressure water cleaners, medicines, cleaning tools, and covering logistics for four affected schools. The current remaining balance is IDR 6,790,717, with additional international transfers currently pending clearance.

Eka Ratnasari—a Fulbright scholar, UT Austin Class 2025, and IMATX Pengajian alumna—has returned to her hometown to work as a STEM teacher in Langkat, North Sumatra.

When severe flooding recently struck the region, Eka mobilized immediately. The IMATX community in Austin has rallied behind her with generous donations to support the cause. Eka is now personally overseeing the relief efforts on the ground, ensuring that aid is delivered swiftly and exactly where it is needed most.
